The court has sentenced accused Mr. Sohag to lifetime rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Tk 20,000 for the muder of child Ruble in Chuadanga on Thursday.
The deceased child Rubel Hossain was the son of Yamin Ali, resident of Choyghoria village in Chuadanga sadar upazia. Accused Rubel was resient of the same village.
Judge Md. Masud Ali of Additional District and Sessions Judge-2 Court announced this verdict on Thursday.
According to the sources of the case, the accused Sohag killed Rubel in on June 27in 2023. Rubel’s father Yamin Ali filed a murder case regarding the incident. Accused Sohag gave a confessional statement under section 164 in the court. The court announced the verdict after 14 among 21 witnesses gave their testimony.
