A child was killed as a Battery-run van hit her in Chantek area of Kajla in Jatrabari on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Safena, 5, daughter of Nurnabiand hailed from Borhanuddin Upazila of Bhola.
Nur Nabi, father of the deceased, said that Safena was seriously injured after being hit by a battery-run van in Kajla Chantek area. Later, she was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital(DMCH) where doctor declared her dead.
DMCH Police Camp In-charge Mohammad Bachchu Miah confirmed the matter and said the body was sent to morgue for autopsy.
