A child named Muhammad Ali (3) died after the wheels of a sand-laden Mahindra truck skidded off in Jamalpur's Islampur.
The child is the son of Shafiqul Islam in Madhyapara Rhamabata Jame Masjid area of Kulkandi Union in the upazila.
According to local sources, when the Mahindra truck was unloading sand brought for the construction of a mosque in Kulkandi Madhyapara, the child who was playing nearby fell under the wheel of the Mahindra truck and died on the spot. Islampur police station officer in-charge Suman Talukder said that the police went to the spot and recovered the body.
