A baby snake has died after being bitten by a child in Chuadanga. The incident took place at Bilpara of Ujalpur village in Chuadanga Sadar upazila around 10am on Tuesday. The child was later rescued and admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. One-year-old Jannatul Ferdous is the daughter of Riazul Islam of the same village. Mahbubur Rahman Milon, a pediatrician at Sadar Hospital confirmed the matter. Shila Khatun, mother of the child Jannatul, said that Jannatul was playing in the house with her cousin Kauser in the morning. At one point, both of them went under the ghat to play. At that time, he grabbed the baby snake with his hand and bit it in two places. Later, the baby Jannatul came out from under the ghat with the baby snake. He was rushed to Sadar Hospital. The baby snake died. It has been given to the doctor.
Mahbubur Rahman Milon, a pediatrician at Sadar Hospital, said the baby was being kept in the children's ward and was being monitored. However, his condition is stable.
