Chief Justice visits Tungipara on Friday

Chief Justice of Bangladesh Hasan Foez Siddique paid homage at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj. Arriving at Tungipara at 9:30 am on Friday, he laid a wreath at the altar of the Mausoleum and paid his respects. The Chief Justice was accompanied by his wife and other family members.

After reciting holy verses, he offered special prayers for the forgiveness of the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs killed on 15th August, 1975.

At the time, the Registrar General of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh Mohammad Ali Akbar, Gopalganj Senior District and Sessions Judge Amit Kumar Dey, Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal Judge Almach Hossain Mridha, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan, Additional District and Sessions Judge Abbas Uddin, District Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddique PPM, Additional Deputy Commissioner Eliasur Rahman, District Public Works Department Executive Engineer Amit Kumar Dev, Tungipara Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, Upazila Nirbahi Officer AKM Hedayetul Islam, Tungipara Upazila Awami League general secretary  Babul Sheikh, former municipal mayor Elias Hossain and others were present.

Later, Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui signed the inspection book preserved at Bangabandhu Bhaban in the area.
