Cheques handed over to Rajshahi journalists

Cheques of financial assistance sanctioned from Bangladesh Sangabdik Kalyan Trust have been handed over to the insolvent, ailing, injured journalists and to the family members of deceased journalists of Rajshahi through at a brief function held at the Conference room of Deputy Commissioner, Rajshahi on Monday morning. 

Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Abdul Jalil handed over the cheques of the journalists and their family members as the chief guest while Senior Vice President of AL, Rajshahi Metropolitan unit Shahin Akhter Reny attended as special guest. Managing Director of Bangladesh Sangbadik Kallyan Trust joined virtually as the guest of honour in the function. 

Presided over by Muhammad Shariful Haque, Additional Deputy Commissioner, the function was attended and addressed, among others, by the President and the General Secretary of Rajshahi Press Club Saidur Rahman and Aslam-ud-dowla respectively, the president and the general secretary of Rajshahi Sangbadik Union Rafiqul Islam and Tanjimul Haque respectively, former President of Rajshahi Press Club Advocate Nazrul Islam Khan, life member of Rajshahi Press club Ahmed Shafiuddin, golam Sarwar, Nure Islam Milon, Waliur Rahman Babu, Saker Shariful Islam, Dr. Ainal Haque, Ansiuzzman, Amanullah Aman, Saifur Rahman Rocky, Rashed Ripon and Asaduzzaman Asad.  In the function, two cheques of Taka 300,000 each were handed over to the family members of deceased journalists Bulbul Chowdhury and Tabibur Rahman Masum while three cheques of Taka 50,000 each were handed over to insolvent and ailing journalists. Rajshahi Press Club recommended to Bangladesh Sangbadik Kallyan Trust to assist the insolvent, ailing journalists and the deceased family members of the journalists.
