Donation cheques were distributed among the poor people, who are suffering from chronic diseases, in Pirojpur district on Tuesday, reports BSS.
Deputy Commissioner Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain distributed the cheque worth Taka 23 lakh among 46 patients at a function held at the office of Department of Social Service in the district town this morning.
Deputy Director of the Department of Social Service Md Akteruzzaman Talukder, provisional officer Md Jakir Hossain, journalists – Gautam Chowdhury and Shafiul Haque Mithu – were present on the occasion.
Each patient got a cheque worth Tk 50,000.
