The Chattogram Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (CEB) has finished all preparations to hold the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations starting on June 26 in a fair and peaceful environment.
This year, even though the number of colleges has increased in the Chattogram region, the number of examinees has dropped compared to last year.
A total of 1,02,869 students will take part in the HSC exams under the Chattogram Board. The exams will be held at 115 centres from 307 colleges. Last year, 1,06,034 students appeared in the exams from 287 colleges.
To keep the exam environment fair and free from any irregularities, the board has formed over 50 vigilance teams. These teams include experienced teachers and executive magistrates. Among them, 30 are general inspection teams and 10 are special inspection teams. These teams will regularly visit different exam centres to check for any unfair activities or problems.
Controller of Examinations of Chattogram Education Board, Professor Dr. Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, told BSS, “We have completed all the preparations to hold the HSC examinations from June 26 in a free, fair and peaceful way. Necessary instructions have been given to all the centres.”
He also added that the board is serious about maintaining discipline and a good exam environment in all the centres. The authorities have taken steps to prevent any kind of question paper leak or misuse of mobile phones during the exams.
The HSC exams will continue as per the routine announced by the Ministry of Education, and all students are requested to follow the rules properly.
