The certificate award ceremony on different courses including fighter conversion, basic helicopter conversion and basic transport conversion course of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held at BAF Base Bir Sreshto Matiur Rahman in Jashore on Thursday, said ISPR. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat attended the programme as the chief guest. He distributed the certificates among the graduating officers.
A total of 29 trainee officers received certificates on the completion of the courses. Among them, five graduating officers- Flight Lieutenant Dhrubo Sarkar, GD(P), Flight Lieutenant MdAnisuzzaman, GD(P), Flight Lieutenant S M Mohaiminul Islam, GD(P), Flight Lieutenant Sabiq-N-Ahmed, GD(P) and Flying Officer Ahmad Musa, GD(P) achieved Osmani Gold Medals for best performance in academic training.
Addressing to the graduating officers, the Chief of Air Staff said that the skill and professionalism that they have gained through the training in this course will act as the foundation stone of their future career in operational squadrons. Senior BAF Officers from Air Headquarters were present during the certificate award ceremony.
