Celine Dion is expected to make a grand comeback at the Olympic Games. Rumors suggest she will perform at the opening ceremony on Friday. This will be her first appearance since she paused her career due to a Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis in December 2022.

Dion arrived in Paris on Monday, staying at the Royal Monceau hotel near the Champs-Élysées. Lady Gaga, another rumored performer for the opening ceremony, is also staying there. Details about Dion's performance are still a mystery.

In an interview with Vogue France in April, Dion hinted at her return. She said, "I've chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!"

She also shared her daily efforts to become stronger, saying, "For four years I've been telling myself that I'm not going back, that I'm ready, that I'm not ready... As things stand, I can't say: 'Yes, in four months.' I don't know... My body will tell me."

Dion might perform in front of the Eiffel Tower as the opening ceremony will be a parade along the Seine River, ending near the Trocadero, with a view of the tower. This will be the first time the ceremony is held outside a stadium, showcasing Paris' famous landmarks with 3,500 actors, dancers, and musicians.

Dion is no stranger to the Olympics, having opened the 1996 Atlanta Games with "The Power of the Dream," which was viewed by a record-breaking 3.5 billion people globally. She recently lent her voice, along with Michael J. Fox, to a video for Canadian Olympians titled "L'invincible courage."
