CDA to provide clearance within 6 days

 The Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has started of approval construction and land clearance on only six working days after the launch of online automation program.

In the new system, the first application was made by Mohammad Abu Sufian, resident of Satkania. He applied for permission to construct a 10-storey building on CDA's Kalpolok residential A-22 plot on 4th of this month.

Architect Shahinul Islam Khan, Chairman of building construction committee and chief planner of CDA said the first application of the automation system was approved within six working days.

He said, in this process, customers can apply online for getting land clearance and building construction permission online without going to the CDA.

"The process of approval will now be completed in four steps. In this case, 15 days for the clearance of land use, 25 days for construction approval &
it takes 38 days including 3 days of verification. Apart from this, it will take 15 days for a massive and special project.

As well as the customers can apply at any stage of the application number. Architect Shaheenul Islam Khan said that the location of the document can be found through SMS or email.

Shahinul Islam Khan, chairman of the building construction committee said, "Every two applications will be submitted every month. The application will be settled within a specified time. No application will be hanging.'

Earlier on May 6, the inauguration of the e-service was inaugurated by CDA chairman M. Jahirul Alam Dobash.  Then the CDA chairman said this method has been introduced to reduce the sufferings of the people. Hopefully no one will be victimized when taking services in the CDA.
