Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Administrator Khorshed Alam Sujon has ordered to fine the people who come out of their residence without masks .
"From November 15, if anyone is found without wearing mask on the city streets, markets, shopping malls or vehicles will be slapped with a fine by mobile court," he said.
Sujan made the remarks at a programme of the CCC’s department heads and engineers at the Nagar Bhaban in Tiger Pass on Tuesday. He said, "If we don’t become more aware situation will worsen in addition of dengue and chikungunya."
Chief Executive Officer Kazi Muhammad Mozammel Haque, Secretary Abu Shahed Chowdhury, Chief Engineer Lt. Col. Sohail Ahmed, Chief Revenue Officer Mufidul Alam, Chief Education Officer Sumon Barua, Chief Health Officer Dr. Selim Akhtar Chowdhury, Health Officer Dr. Mohammad Ali, and Additional Chief Cleaning Officer Morshedul Alam Chowdhury were present.
