Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has commented that the health department of CCC will be modernized to improve the quality of public health in Chattogram.
He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the coordination meeting of CCC doctors on Thursday.
CCC Mayor said, “As the only city corporation in Bangladesh, we provide health and education services. Immediately after taking charge as mayor, I took steps to organize the health department.”
He said that CCC health department has played an important role in Chittagong in dealing with the corona epidemic, vaccination activities and the recent dengue outbreak.
Efforts have already been made to make doctors permanent. My aim is to modernize and expand the CCC Health Department.
CCC chief health officer Dr. Salim Akhtar Chowdhury said in the president's speech that although CCC plays an important role in the health services of Chattogram, because the jobs of many doctors are not permanent, talented doctors are not joining the CCC or even if they join, they are leaving the job and those who are there are also suffering from inferiority. He called for the regularization of temporary doctors' jobs.
CCC Panel Mayor Mohammad Gias Uddin, Afroza Kalam, Councilor Zafrul Haider Sabuj, Abdus Salam Masum, Nurul Amin, Nurul Amin Mia, Esrarul Haque, Chief Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Mayor's Private Secretary Md. Abul Hashem were present.
