Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury on Wednesday vows to complete development project worth Tk 2500 thousand crore within the specific time period.
“Prime Minister has allocated this project as a gift to Chattogram residents. I have many dreams around this project. If this project is implemented, there will be no unpaved roads in Chattogram even at the ward level.” He said these things in a view exchange meeting with engineers and contractors at the CCC Tigerpass office on Wednesday.
“Due to the improved communication system, large international investment will come to Chattogram in the future. Moreover, unemployment in Chattogram will be solved and this city will become the commercial hub of the world.” The mayor added.
The project should be completed within the period, he stressed.
“I will take disciplinary action if this work is delayed due to negligence of any officer or contractor." He warned.
CCC Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury assured contractors that they will be paid by the government, if they face any possible challenges in completing the project.
“Do quality work, complete projects on time.” The mayor instructed.
CCC Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Muhammad Tauhidul Islam, Councillor Muhammad Ismail, Chief Engineer Rafiqul Islam along with CCC engineers and contractors were present in the meeting.
