Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain has termed the continued attacks by Israeli forces on the innocent Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip as a crime against humanity and called for strong action by the world leadership to stop this genocide.
During a courtesy meets with the Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yusuf S. Y. Ramadan, at the Tigerpass CCC office on Sunday morning.
Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, “The innocent people of Palestine have been subjected to oppression, persecution and human rights violations for a long time. As a humane citizen and public representative, I believe that it is the moral responsibility of the world leadership to stand by them at this time.”
He said that the people of Bangladesh have always been and will always be by the side of the oppressed Palestinians. As a nation that stands for humanity and justice, Bangladesh has historically stood united in the demand for the establishment of an independent state of Palestine.
Mayor Dr. Shahadat presented a symbolic souvenir of solidarity to the Ambassador of Palestine on behalf of the Chattogram people. Ambassador Yusuf Ramadan expressed gratitude for the cooperation of Chattogram City Corporation and appreciated Bangladesh's continued support for the struggle of the Palestinian people.

Ashraful Amin, Chief Sanitation Officer Captain Ikhtiar Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Chief Revenue Officer Sarwar Kamal, Chief Education Officer Dr. Kissinger Chakma, Chief Engineer Anisur Rahman, Chief Accounting Officer Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Law Officer Mohiuddin Murad, Special Magistrate Md. Shoaib Uddin Khan, Advocate Arif Reza, among others were present.
