Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said that dengue prevention is not possible for city corporations alone. In such a case,the citizens should be aware. Journalists have to play an important role in this regard. He said this while inaugurating the free ‘Dengue Disease Testing’ program at Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Health Department at CCC General Hospital at 10am on Monday. The mayor said the CCC have launched a crush program against dengue. Leaflets have already being distributed in 41 wards, spreading information on mics, media, eliminating Dengue mosquitoes in 41 wards to protect the citizens from dengue infections and outbreaks. The mayor also called for the cleanliness of educational institutions and their homes in their own initiative. CCC Education Health Standing Committee Chairman, Councilor Nazmul Haque Duke, Councilor Hassan Murad Biplob, Councilor Tarek Soleman Selim, Chief Health Officer of CCC Dr Selim Akhter Chowdhury, Dr Md.
