Chittagong City Corporation has started a campaign through a mobile court to remove unauthorized billboards in the city. The operation was led by Executive Magistrate Afia Akhtar and Special Magistrate (Joint District Judge) Jahanara Ferdous on Tuesday.
The billboard attached to the building on Zakir Hossain Road (Khulshi No. 1) in the city was removed. A mobile court has fined building owner Abul Hossain Tk 10,000 for illegally erecting the billboard. Moreover, four illegal billboards along the walls of buildings in different areas were removed.
This information was given in a press release sent from Chittagong City Corporation on Tuesday. City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin warned against illegal billboard traders and directed to evict these illegal billboards as well as file a case against those involved.
