Committee for Concern Citizen (CCC) in Jhenidah organized a virtual meeting with the municipality authority in Jhenidah on Sunday. The online meeting was organized aiming at improving the quality of different services for the town dwellers.
CCC sources said Jhenidah municipality mayor, also general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Jhenidah district unit Saidul Karim Mintu, CCC president Sayedul Alam, transparency international Bangladesh (TIB) senior programme manager Kazi Shafiqur Rahman, municipality panel mayor Farhana Reza Anju, secretary Mustaq Ahmed, assistant engineer Kamal Uddin, councilors, CCC local government subcommittee member Abu Taher, YES group team leader Shanta Ahmed Sumi and TIB Jhenidah area office manager Bakhtiar Hossain among the 20 participants attended the event.
The virtual meeting reviewed that a number of places in the municipality town were brought under drinking water supply system, authorities started updating the complaint and information register along with the web portal.
The municipal authority had assured of online open budget discussion for transparency.
