Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has almost launched an operation to evict illegal structures from the roads and footpaths and free the occupants.  In most cases, raids are carried out in the morning and are recaptured in the afternoon.  In this situation, the 'striking force' or special team is entering the field to prevent the reoccupation of the evacuees.

CCC Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury gave direction to the group wearing striking force uniforms to carry out illegal evictions on the road on Sunday.

This team will regularly visit the evacuated areas.  At this time, if he sees reoccupation somewhere, he will start the 'action' of eviction again.

Apart from this, the members of the newly formed 'Striking Force' will go around the city and identify whether any roads and sidewalks have been encroached upon.  The team will always be on patrol.  Evacuation areas will be monitored.  Not just evacuation sites.  The members of the special team will go around the entire city and report to the chief cleaning officer if any roads and sidewalks are encroached.

After that, the operation will be conducted through the mobile court.  No illegal occupiers shall be allowed on sidewalks and streets.  We will evict no matter how powerful they are and ensure that they do not reoccupy.  I will do everything I can to restore the beauty of the city. At this time Chattogram City Corporation Panel Mayor, seniors officers were present.
