Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) AJM Nasir Uddin has urged the councilors and engineers of the CCC to work with the attitude of service and avoid the colonial mentality.
He said these while delivering his presidential speech at the 45th General Meeting of the CCC at the KB Abdus Chhatar auditorium on Sunday. The Mayor said the CCC polls will be held just after one year. “We have the liability to the people. On the eve of the election, we should face the city dwellers with positive image. So, work for them with responsibility and liability,” he said.
He advised everyone to work in the field, saying that the ongoing urban development project will not be hindered in any way.
The development of the city should be continued, he added.
Among others, CCC panel mayor, councilor, reserved ward councilor, CCC chief executive officer Shamsuddoha, Chief Education Officer Sumon Barua, Special Magistrate (Joint District Judge) Jahanara Ferdous, Executive Magistrate Afia Akhter, Chief Engineer Lt. Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed and officials from various government-autonomous organizations were present there.
