Chittagong City Corporation Administrator Mohammad Khorshed Alam Sujan paid a courtesy call on Information Minister and Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Dr. Hasan Mahmud at the Secretariat on Friday to sought cooperation in the management of CCC.
Sujan briefed the Minister on the current situation of CCC development and issues of interest. He requested the Minister to extend the hand of cooperation on priority basis in various projects including infrastructural development, repair of roads and removal of water logging in Chattogram.
Apart from entertainment and cultural activities of the people of Chittagong, CCC administrator also sought the cooperation of the Minister in taking up new development projects. He also raised the issue of increasing CCC’s financial capacity.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud said Chattogram is the economic centre of Bangladesh, so, development of Chattogram means the development of Bangladesh. Therefore, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is considering the importance of providing necessary funds for mega projects in Chattogram.
The Information Minister assured CCC of necessary cooperation on various issues including development of Chattogram while, CCC Administrator Sujan invited the Information Minister to visit Chittagong City Corporation at a convenient time.
