A case has been filed against Nabganj Upazila unit of Jamaat-e-Islami general secretary Mohammad Ali Hasan, who is also the Principal of Ideal Kinder Garten in Dhaka, on charges of an attempt of raping a Class-VII female student.
Victim's mother filed the case (No. 3) on Thursday (October 2, 2025) with Nababganj Police Station. The victim girl was admitted to the Nawabganj Upazila Health Complex immediately after the incident came to light. Police also recorded the statement of the victim girl and also investigating into the case.
In the written statement, the mother of the victim girl mentioned that Mohammad Ali sexually assaulted her daughter on September 23. The accused person also threatened her daughter pointing knife on her throat so that she does not disclose the matter to anyone.
Later, on September 30, the girl went to the madrasa and fell ill in the afternoon. Another female teacher of the madrasa informed her the matter over phone. They rushed to the madrasa and found her daughter unconscious. The girl was first taken to nearby Paragon Hospital and later shifted to another private clinic in Nababganj. When the girl fell more ill mentally, she was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
Breaking down in tears, the mother of the victim girl said, her daughter is unable to speak out of fear and gets scared whenever she sees people.
She demanded immediate removal of the accused from the post of principal and his exemplary punishment.
Nawabganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mominul Islam said that a case has been registered based on the statement of the victim girl and her mother.
The OC said, investigation into the case is ongoing.
