A case was filed on Wednesday in connection with the death of six-year-old girl Riya Gope who was shot in the head by a stray bullet while playing on the roof of their home during the anti-discrimination student movement last year.
Abu Raihan, sub-inspector of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station filed the case against 150-200 unidentified people, said Mohammad Nasir Ahmed, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Police filed the case as the family of Ria did not lodge any complaint in this regard. The girl was killed by gunfire while playing on the roof of her house in Noyamati, Narayanganj city on July 19, 2024.
