The state owned distillery Carew and Co has started producing and marketing of hand sanitizers in the country in a bid to check the spread of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).
A group of skilled workers are now working relentlessly here at the factory and thus producing up to 5,000 liters of hand sanitizer per day. The wholesale and retail price of each 100 ml bottle hand sanitizer has been fixed at Taka 50 while that of the 180 ml bottle has been fixed at Taka 90, reports BSS.
Various government agencies and organizations are now keeping the hand sanitizers made from Carew & Co as their first choice since it is of high quality and is also more effective than other hand sanitizers available in the market.
Managing Director of Carew & Co Zahed Ali Ansari said initially they are now sending their hand sanitizers to the various government offices.
He informed that they have sent 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizers, produced on the first day, to Dhaka for distributing and marketing those through the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC).
The hand sanitizers produced from Carew & Co are initially being sent to various Ministries and government agencies and later marketing of those would be enhanced through increasing production.
The management of the Carew and Co said they are playing an important role in this crisis moment of the country through producing hand sanitizers and thus help fighting Coronavirus.
