Presidium Member of Awami League, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton has said, those who say the government will fall before Jan-7, are saying the same for the last seven years. Referring an Arabian proverb Mayor Liton further said, ' The dogs howl but the carvans of camels continue to proceed, and our caravans of boats are proceeding ahead.'
Mayor Liton was addressing at an Election campaign meeting in favour of Awami League nominated candidate Asaduzzaman Asad who is contesting with the symbol 'Boat' from Rajshahi-3(Paba-Mohanpur) constituency at Maskatadighi School and College playground under Katakhali Municiplity on Friday afternoon.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, AHM Khairuzzaman Liton further said, 'It doesn't matter if some one howls behind us. We'll continue ahead for the welfare of people.'
In the huge election campaign, Liton mentioned, ' Both you and we can see about the present activities of those who told about the fall of the government before the 7th. If anybody wants to resist the casting of votes, he/she should do it on his own responsibility. By casting votes on Boat on January-7, people will prove that they are with Sheikh Hasina, with the development.'
Liton again said, those who tried to make the Elections of 2014 and 2018 controversial, have spread the nets of conspiracy during the last one year.
By killing people with setting fire on buses and trains, they have proved that they are still with the arson terror like the past. They can not act for the welfare of the people.'
He mentioned, 'Boat' is a symbol of development. By adopting the ideals of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country is processing ahead under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. No one will be able to thwart the development.
