Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder said all kinds of cooperation will be provided for the development of the country’s capital market.
The newly-appointed BB governor came up with the assurance when Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Shibli Rubaiyat Ul Islam paid a courtesy call on him at his office in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The BB will provide all kinds of cooperation but the BSEC needs to ensure that everyone can invest in the capital market without fear, the governor said. BSEC commissioners Prof Sheikh Shamsuddin Ahmed and Abdul Halim were present during the courtesy meeting. Abdur Rouf Talukder took over as the central bank chief on Tuesday.
