The hundredth birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be celebrated in 2020. The 'cultural programmes and exhibition organizing sub-committee' of National Implementation Committee has decided to select an original theme song for the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation.
Interested lyricists and writers can submit songs until June 15. Music must be within 16 lines for the original music (theme Song).
Selected lyricists will be rewarded, said Deputy Secretary Liaquat Ali Lucky. One song will be selected as the theme song from the submissions.
Interested persons can send songs to the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha of the capital or e-mail it to dg@shilpakala.gov.bd.
The National Implementation Committee has planned a year-long programme to celebrate the hundredth birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This committee is acting as a sub-committee, 'sub-committee for organizing cultural programs and exhibitions'.
