CCC 250-bed isolation centre for corona patients with mild symptoms was inaugurated at the City Convention Center in Halishahar area of Chattogram city on Saturday.
Information Minister Dr Hassan Mahmood inaugurated the CCC isolation centre as the chief guest. Nasir Uddin Mamun was present on behalf of Divisional Commissioner ABM Azad and Sikam Group Managing Director Amirul Haque as special guests at the inaugural function presided over by City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin.
Speaking as the chief guest, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud urged all to abide by the rules of personal safety. Besides, the minister suggested setting up more isolation centers in the city.
City Mayor AZM Nasir Uddin said that out of 250 isolation beds, 210 are for male patients and 40 are for female patients. From Monday, practical training will be given to the doctors, nurses and health workers in charge of the isolation centre to improve their work skills.
CCC mayor said the temporary doctors, nurses and health workers of the health department working at CCC Isolation Center would be made permanent under the implementation of the employment regulation. In this case, priority will be given to those who are on duty at the Covid-19 Isolation Center.
Beds, mattresses, bed sheets, pillows, waste baskets and other necessary items have been prepared for the patients. CCC isolation center also has 50 new oxygen cylinders and ancillary medical equipment.
