A daylong workshop titled "Implementation of the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF)" was held at Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) to ensure the quality of education and pursue academic accreditation.
Organised by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university, the workshop took place on Wednesday in the IQAC seminar room. The primary aim was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the BNQF and practical guidance on its implementation in higher education institutions. It also marked a significant step toward improving academic transparency and educational excellence.
The Vice-Chancellor of GAU, Professor Dr. G.K.M Mustafizur Rahman, attended as chief guest, while Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M. Moynul Haque and Professor Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Director of Accreditation, were present as special guests.
Professor Dr S.M. Kabir, a member of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), served as the keynote speaker. Deans, faculty representatives, and members of the self-assessment and accreditation committees participated in the training.
IQAC Director Professor Dr Nasreen Akhtar Ivy chaired the opening session, conducted by Additional Director Professor Dr Mohammad Sharif Raihan. In his address, the Vice-Chancellor stated, "BNQF is not merely an institutional process but a key tool for ensuring educational excellence."
The workshop concluded with a presentation, open discussion, and closing remarks by the Vice-Chancellor.
