Cabinet Secy visits Padma Bridge rail track

Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain visited the Padma Bridge Rail on Thursday and crossed the Padma Bridge by track car. The Secretary also inspected the Padma Rail Link Project. He visited Mawa station and received briefing. At 10 o'clock he took track car from Mawa to Padma railway station at Jazira end via Padma Bridge.

After visiting the activities of Padma Station, he participated in a meeting in the conference room of Jazeera Army Camp, Service Area-3 of Padma Bridge. During this time, the overall progress and various aspects of the Padma Bridge Rail Link project were presented.

Later he visited the various activities of Bhanga Junction Station in the afternoon. At this time a briefing on the overall aspect of the broken junction is done. After inspecting the project, the Secretary of the Council of Ministers expressed satisfaction and hoped that the project would be completed within the stipulated time and the people would be able to enjoy the benefits of the project. At this time, Major General Rezaul Majid, the chief coordinator of the project, Dr. Humayun Kabir, Secretary of the Ministry of Railways, Kamrul Ahsan, Director General of Bangladesh Railway, Afzal Hossain, the Project Director of the project and related senior officials were also present.

In a briefing at Mawa station, Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed highlighted the progress of work on the Mawa section since breaking. Project coordinator Brigadier General Abul Kalam Azad gave a briefing on Jazeera about the entire project and Colonel Farooq Ahmed gave a briefing on the modern railway junction of the country under construction at Jazeera Junction. Apart from the officials and engineers of the project consultant CSC Bangladesh Army, the senior officials of the contractor China Railway Engineering Company also participated this time.
