The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) held a signing ceremony for the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) with its field offices on Thursday at the CAAB Headquarters building.
Md Mokammel Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, attended as the chief guest, while CAAB Chairman Air Commodore Sadikur Rahman Chowdhury, GUP, NDC, PSC, chaired the ceremony.
During the event, the CAAB Chairman and Executive Directors, Directors, and Managers from all airports across Bangladesh signed the agreements on behalf of their respective offices.
Secretary Mokammel Hossain highlighted the importance of setting clear goals and ensuring their effective implementation through initiatives like the APA. He commended CAAB for its efficient execution of activities and expressed confidence in achieving this year's objectives, emphasising the vision of establishing Bangladesh as an aviation hub, in line with the aspirations of the nation's founding father.
The CAAB Chairman echoed these sentiments, emphasising the collective effort needed to fulfil duties and achieve set targets. He cited ongoing projects such as the construction of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and runway expansions as examples of CAAB's commitment to progress.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, CAAB officials, and airport directors and managers.
