The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and the national consumer rights protection department officials have seized huge fake and contra banned cosmetics from Jhenaidah town on Monday morning. The items were seized from Mashiur Store at Thana Road in the town.
tional police super Masud Alam said acting on a tip off, the RAB and consumer rights officials had conducted the drive where huge cosmetics of local and foreign companies were stored for sale. The law enforcers seized the cosmetics worthy of Taka 1.50 lakh approximately.
Owner of the cosmetics store Mashiur Rahman was fined for Taka 20 thousand during the time. It may be noted that the RAB personnel and the national consumer rights protection directorate officials have also seized huge fake and contra banned medicines worth of Taka 30 lakh from Jhenaidah town a few days back.
