Bus, truck, bike collision leaves one dead

One person died in a head-on collision between a passenger bus, a truck and a motorcycle in Sirajganj's Tarash. Two more riders of the motorcycle were injured in the incident.

The accident took place at the bridge area of Tarash-Bhuiyagati regional road of the upazila around 1 pm on Sunday.

The deceased motorcycle rider is Asim Chandra (30), son of Anil Chandra of Sherpur Municipal area of Bogra. The injured are Afal Ahmed (28) son of Rekar Ali of Tarash town area and Krishna Chandra (26) son of Dulal of Khutigacha village.

Locals said that a truck overtaking a passenger bus bound for Sirajganj from Tarash collided with a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider Asim Chandra (30) was killed on the spot.

Shamsul Alam, Local councilor said that the bus, truck and motorcycle collided on the way to bring brother-in-law Asim Chandra, son of Dulal Chandra of Khutigacha village, to their home. 

Son-in-law Asim Chandra was killed on the spot. 

The other two injured were rescued and first admitted to the emergency department of Tarash Upazila Health Complex. Later, when the condition worsened, 2 of them were sent to Bogra Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarash police station. Shahidul Islam said that one person was killed and two others were injured in the bus, truck and motorcycle collision. 

Prepara­tions are underway to file a case at the police station.
