UNB, Rajbari:: A passenger bus fell into the Padma River while boarding a ferry at Daulatdia Ghat in Rajbari on Wednesday evening.
According to witnesses, a Showhardo Paribahan bus from platoon no. 3 plunged into the river around 5:30 pm during the boarding process.
Fire Service divers are conducting rescue operations at the scene.
Station Officer Talha bin Zashim of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters media cell said additional diving teams are on their way from Dhaka.
The number of passengers on board the bus could not be confirmed immediately.
