Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organised its “Freshers’ Reception 2025–2026” programme for newly admitted students of the 2025–26 academic session at the university’s Shadhinota Auditorium.
The reception programmes were held on April 29 for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), April 30 for the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), and May 10 for the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) and the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS).
BUP Vice-Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam attended the programme as the chief guest.
At the beginning of the event, the newly admitted students were briefed on the university’s academic and administrative activities.
Addressing the students, the vice-chancellor congratulated them on securing admission to BUP and highlighted discipline, honesty, integrity, empathy, self-control, and self-confidence as essential qualities for students.
He said BUP is committed not only to academic excellence but also to developing students as responsible citizens with strong moral and humanitarian values.
The vice-chancellor also said the university is focusing on outcome-based and application-oriented education to produce skilled graduates capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly changing global environment.
He expressed hope that the newly admitted students would uphold the reputation of the university and contribute significantly to the development of the country in the future.
