He said that the farmers will benefit from paddy cultivation if they get the desired price.

Other farmers also said that the disease of Aman rice is very low. Yields have exceeded expectations. Aman paddy is usually harvested at the end of Agrahayana month. This rice has started ripening a month ago. Farmers are hoping to make a profit this time excluding all costs.

Upazila's Shalbahan market rice traders Alamgir Hossain and Safiul Islam aka Pahatu and retail trader Md Riazul said that according to the type of rice, rice is currently being bought and sold at 900 to 1100 per maund. However, it is known that the price of paddy was higher at the beginning of paddy harvesting.

As the farmers got the desired price of paddy, cultivation increased more than before. Besides, this bumper crop of Aman paddy has been produced in the current season due to the favorable weather and the activities of the agriculture department.
