The Barishal University Journalists' Association has strongly condemn the attack on Apurbo Apu, a senior reporter of Somoy Television and the head of Barishal Bureau.
In a joint statement on Sunday, Barishal University Journalists Association's President Shafiqul Islam and it's general secretary (acting) Wabidur Rahman condemn and protest.
It is known that journalist Apurbo Apu was attacked in front of Mumitu Community Center in Shitalakhola area of Barihsal city and 5/6 unidentified persons tried to force him to take him in a private car.
In a statement, the leaders of the journalists' association said that the incident was a black hand on journalists and the media.
The incidents are being repeated in different times as there is no justice & security of journalist. The perpetrators must be identified and brought to justice as soon as possible.
