It is found that an export oriented readymade garments factory along with a dyeing section have been running adjacent to a government primary school. The school consists of kids interrupted who are inhaling contaminated air.
Both the residential and industrial building owners have constructed ignoring the plan and guideline of Rajdhani Unnoyon Kortipokkho (RAJUK) although they received approval from the authority concerned.
A man either in person or commercial or industrial takes the approval of the RAJUK to build their houses or factories to take easy bank loans or other government services. The RAJUK approved the plan according to an eco-friendly land map but the land owner made the establishment avoid the approval. As a result, such kinds of buildings and other establishments narrowed the road, destroying the crops' land and hampered the different kinds of educational institutions.
RAJUK always approved the plan with environmental support for constructing each building as they have widened roads, sufficient open space for healthy living and government service like police patrolling, fire service and civil defense and ambulance.
Deputy Director of Narayanganj fire service and civil defense Abdullah Al Arefin expressed anger and said that we have to take time to douse the fire after rushing the spot due to not our lack of fighting ability in lack of random open space. The same allegation was found from the law and order control personnel and the hospital authority.
A physician told that we have to see very often a patient reached to hospital by ambulance with cardiac complication but have no time to provide treatment because the patient expired by the time. It’s a common scenario and after talking with a patient's relative learnt that after cardiac arrest the ambulance services waste more time due to the narrow road from patient residence to hospital.
However, the apex officer of Narayanganj zonal office responded in a query that he said the approved plan supervised during the constructional building is not a service like intensive care unit (ICU) that reached the patient and set up the oxygen support.
