For the better interest and public easement, the Rajdhani Unnoyon Kortipokkho (RAJUK) approved the building plan map and assigned the inspectors to inspect the building during construction duly.

The majority of buildings that are approved by the RAJUK are not constructed according to the approved map as the building inspectors did not inspect during building construction work.

A RAJUK official requested not to disclose his name and said that an inspector or authorized officer has to inspect an under construction building four times from the beginning of the construction as the building owner does not ignore the law.

Moving to a different part of the district it was found that no building owner abided by the law of RAJUK who earlier took the approval from RAJUK.

An inspector of Narayanganj RAJUK office said that after inspecting a construction site a notice was served after finding the fault of building construction rules but nobody allowed the notice.

It is found in a RAJUK served final notice that if the building owner does not evict the faulty part of structure within 7 days since receiving this notice the RAJUK will demolish the faulty parts and its expenditure should be carried by the building owner. However, after that, none happened.

According to RAJUK terminology, the open spaces on all four sides of a building are called setback. In a final notice it is found that when the RAJUK approved a building plan mentioned 1.59 meters setback for widening of road, 1.50 meter in the front side of the building, 1 meter for back side, 1 meter for right side and 1 meter in left side.

Many sufferer alleged that when someone submits a complaint to them RAJUK zonal office in Narayanganj in written or verbal then the RAJUK authority start to serve the notice to the building owner and somewhere to suspend the construction for the few days or months and later run work on the faulty design that are sketched by a local civil engineer.
