Major General Mohammad Mahbubur Rashid Rashid said they want to leave a beautiful Bangladesh for the new generation in a view exchange meeting held at Satkhira on Sunday.
He said “we do not want look back anymore. We have to move forward and develop the country. Everyone needs to stay aware so that there are no more fighting and violence. We want to leave a beautiful Bangladesh for the new generation.”
The view exchange meeting on the law and order situation of Satkhira district was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner Office on Sunday noon. Satkhira District Administration arranged the programme.
Major General Mohammad Mahbubur Rashid, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Jashore Cantonment, spoke as the chief guest in the programme. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Humayun kabir presided over the meeting.
Major General Mohammad Mahbubur Rashid said those who created violence and those who are connected with extortion, occupation and lootings will not be exempted. They will be identified and brought under the law very soon. They will take strict measures to protect people and their properties.
He also said members of Bangladesh Army and police are working together to improve the law and order situation in the district. The police stations have to be made a place that people can trust. Along with the police, the army is jointly working for the safety of the people. They are working to strengthen security.
He said law and order situation and harmony need to be maintained in any situation. Overall assistance is needed to ensure social safety and keep the law and order situation normal.
A prayer was held to pray for the salvation of the departed soul who became martyr during the anti-discriminatory student movement including, Abu Sayed, Asif Hasan and all the others.
Colonel Mohiuddin, Lieutenant Colonel Ashraful Haque, Commander of Satkhira BGB 33, Satkhira Superintendent of Police Mohammad Matiur Rahman Siddiquey, Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Hauqe, in-charge of Satkhira Arm. Members of BNP, anti-discriminatory student movement, Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, public representatives and journalists were present at that time.
