Buddhadeb Dasgupta has yet again been recognised for his work. This time, he has been honoured with the Icon award for his contribution to Indian and world cinema in London. “I feel honoured to receive this award, which is very prestigious,” said Buddhadeb. Recognised for his unique story-telling and poetic directorial style, Buddhadeb is always at home whenever in London. “My films have had UK premieres in London for decades. London is a city I know very well. This time, the seven-day trip was packed with several festival programmes like masterclasses, meeting the director, press conferences and lunches.
