BUBT holds seminar on teaching with passion

A seminar on “Teaching with Passion” was organized at the international conference hall of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), Dhaka on Wednesday. Department of Textile Engineering of the university organized the seminar.

A F M Sarwar Kamal, member, BUBT Trust and convener, International Relation Advisory Committee, BUBT graced the occasion as the chief guest and Professor Md Abu Saleh, vice chancellor, BUBT presided over the session. Dr Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury, professor and chairman, Department of Textile Engineering and dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, BUBT delivered the welcome speech.

Dr Ahmed Mustafa, professor, Department of Biology and director, Life Science Resource Center, Purdue University Fort Wayne, USA spoke as the keynote speaker. He shared his teaching experience at Purdue University. He said, “There should be interconnection among subjects in our universities for effective teaching. A teacher’s most rewarding thing must be his student’s success and the goal of the teacher would be learning more”.

“Teachers should be more passionate, flexible, caring, and responsible with their integrity and good communication if they want good teaching practices and a good education system in the country. They must develop their own style to be the good teachers”, he added.

Distinguished guests, members of BUBT Trust, treasurer, advisor, Students’ Affairs, deans of different faculties, registrar, controller of examinations, joint registrar, chairmen of different departments, proctor, officials, teachers and students attended the programme.
