Bangladeshi actress Shabnam Bubly is set to make her mark in the realm of Kolkata cinema with the upcoming film ‘Flashback.’ The film is directed by Rashed Raha from Dhaka, with the screenplay crafted by Khairul Bashar Nirjhor, also from Dhaka.
Expressing her excitement, Bubly mentioned the presence of the legendary Tollywood producer and actor Kaushik Ganguly in the film.
An official press conference to mark the commencement of ‘Flashback’ was scheduled to be held in India on Sunday. Sourav Das, the popular Indian actor known for his role in ‘Montu Pilot,’ has also been featured in the movie, produced by Blue Whale Entertainment.
Media sources in Kolkata have revealed that the thriller film revolves around a writer, portrayed by Kaushik Ganguly, who plays a central character. Sourav takes on the role of a vagabond named DK, while Bubly's character is named Shweta. The narrative weaves together the lives of three individuals from different backgrounds, converging mysteriously at a single point.
It is learned that a significant portion of the film has already been shot at various locations in Kolkata. The remaining scenes, including the climax, will be filmed in the northern part of West Bengal next week.
Rashed Raha informed the media that the film is slated for release in India after post-production is completed.
