Popular film actress Shobnom Bubly is set to fascinate audiences in a new avatar with the dance number Moyna, a high-energy track that marks her first performance in a music video outside of cinema.
Produced by Gaanchill Music, Moyna is the debut track from their new project Bangla Originals. The song is a colourful, filmy-style production shot on a massive set built at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). It also features rising actor Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, who joins Bubly in the vibrant dance performance.
National Film Award-winning singer Konal has lent her voice to the song, along with Niloy D Rockstar. The track’s music has been composed by Kolkata-based musician Akash Sen, while the lyrics are penned by celebrated lyricist Asif Iqbal.
The music video, directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu, will be released on Gaanchill Music’s YouTube channel on 24 July. Angshu shared that special attention was paid to maintaining Gaanchill’s signature style while creating something fresh and entertaining. “Since it’s the first song of the Bangla Originals series, we wanted it to be fun, danceable, and unique,” he said.
Bubly expressed her excitement about the new experience. “This is completely new for me. I’ve danced in film songs before, but this is my first solo music video. The song is full of energy and perfect for stage performances,” she said.
Asif Iqbal also created buzz by sharing a picture of Bubly on social media with the caption, “Bubly is coming as Moyna.”
With its catchy tune, dynamic visuals, and a beloved actress in the spotlight, Moyna promises to be a standout addition to the local music scene.
