Popular actress Shobnom Bubly is ready to surprise audiences with a new venture — her first-ever music video appearance. Titled “Moyna”, the project has recently wrapped up shooting at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and is now gearing up for release.
Directed by Tanim Rahman Anshu, the music video marks Bubly’s debut in the music scene. The track has been composed by Kolkata-based musician Akash Sen, adding a cross-border creative collaboration to the project. The song will be released under the banner of Gaanchill Music, with an official release date expected to be announced soon.
Several individuals involved in the production have confirmed the news to The Daily Star, noting that the video will showcase a different side of Bubly, known primarily for her acting roles in Dhallywood films.
While excitement builds around “Moyna”, Bubly also has a busy film lineup ahead. This Eid, she will be seen in “Sardar Barir Khela”, a government-grant film directed by Rakhal Sabuj. The film is part of this year’s Eid cinema releases and is expected to draw audiences to theatres.
In addition to “Sardar Barir Khela”, three more of Bubly’s films are awaiting release. These include “Panic”, directed by Zahid Jewel, and “Shapla Shaluk”, helmed by Rasheda Akhter. With multiple projects in hand, 2025 is shaping up to be a dynamic year for the actress.
Known for her work in mainstream commercial cinema, Bubly’s move into music videos signals a new phase in her career. Fans and industry insiders alike are eager to see how she transitions from film to the music video platform with “Moyna”.
