BU holds Teachers training workshop

A five-day long Teachers training workshop for the new teachers of Bangladesh University (BU) concluded on Wednesday. The workshop, jointly organized by Bangladesh University and The Graduate Teaching Institute (GTI), Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh aims to provide advanced training skills leading to higher professional degrees, conducts advanced research studies and provides extension services in education.

At the closing ceremony, acting Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University, Kamrul Hasan, as the chief guest, distributed certificates to the trainee teachers. Among others, BU Registrar Brigadier General Md Mahbubul Haque (retd), Test Controller and Director (Academic Affairs) Lieutenant Cornell Ali Ambial Haque Khan (retd), high-ranking officials including departmental chiefs and training workshops participating teachers were also present.

At the closing ceremony, the speakers said that they are expecting that this training will promote and to provide facilities for advanced study and research in education. A total of 61 teachers participated in this workshop.
