President and general secretary (GS) of Bangladesh Trade Union Sangha (BTUS) central committee had demanded the wages and Eid festival allowances of all workers before one week of the Eid Ul Azha.
In a press release BTUS president Babibullah Bachchu and GS Chowdhury Ashiqul Alam said the workers of all sectors had observed their Eid Ul Azha in an inhuman situation for want of their wages and allowances in time.
The novel corona virus had graved the situation for the low paid workers round the country.
The owners of the garments industry in the country has been spending time to humiliate the workers like past times.
The workers of hotel, restaurants and some other private sectors have been leading inhuman life when they lost their jobs due to shutting down of the business establishments by their masters since in the inception of the covid 19 in Bangladesh in late March.
As the Eid Ul Azha is nearing, they must be paid with their earning at least one week ago of the holly Eid festivals scheduled.
They said the government of Sheikh Hasina will consider the situation to ensure the wages and other benefits of the workers at no delay.
