BTS known as Bangtan Boys, a seven-member South Korean boyband, is now rocking stages across the world while their songs have become huge hits, winning over teenagers’ heart day by day.

BTS touched the hearts of millions of young people with their music. The boyband has already started winning the hearts of Bangladeshis.

BTS has three rappers - RM, Suga and J-Hope and four vocalists - Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook.  RM is the leader of this group.

According to foreign media, if you haven't heard of BTS yet, it is time to succumb to the inevitable.

This is Beatlemania big. And while K-pop music is not exactly a new sensation outside of Korea, BTS and similar groups are cultivating devoted followings across the globe, elevating K-pop from a niche import to a full-blown international movement, according to different foreign agencies.

Their most recent album ‘Map of Soul: Persona’ and the earlier ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ and ‘Love Yourself: Answer’, each sold around 2 million copies.

The young people, especially teenagers, living thousands of miles away from each other, are now being united with the melodious songs of BTS as they are sharing same expressions and feelings through various social media platforms.

As the world is now being overtaken with BTS songs, the teenagers of Bangladesh are also being attracted to their music.

BTS has millions of fans all over the world, and their fanbase is growing day by day.

The band knows how to amaze their fans and can do whatever it takes to keep them coming back for more.

BTS’ songs are now on every young person’s playlist.

K-pop is a genre of popular music originating in South Korea. After the release of Gangnam Style in 2012, K-pop started to gain more and more prominence all over the world.

Along with other countries, nowadays many young people in Bangladesh are falling for K-pop.

The seven-member boyband has won the hearts of many music enthusiasts.

“Music can always do wonders and thus, BTS has been helping us to heal our wounds with their lyrics. I hear BTS’ songs every night before I go to bed,” Sheikh Mehzabin Chitra, a HSC examinee of RAJUK Uttara Model College said.

She added as the words of BTS’ songs and their lyrics are comprehensible to teenagers, they can easily understand their tone, expressive beauty, and the blissful mood.

“Besides, their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, dealing with anxiety, troubles of school-age youth, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline,” Chitra continued.

When asked why she likes BTS more than any other K-pop artist, Chitra answered, "BTS is a global phenomenon right now.”

“As an ARMY (BTS fans called themselves ARMY) I always would like to say to people that BTS taught me how to love myself, how speak up for myself and how to know myself,” she added.

“Yes, there are so many artists and groups in South Korea but no one can be compared to BTS. They share the messages of Loving Myself and they love their fans from the bottom of their hearts,” she said.

Sheikh Mehzabin Chitra said that because their songs are so unique and pure with the hidden meanings, it is truly inspiring to her in many ways.

“We all work hard from the dawn to dusk. At the end of the day when I get tired, I just play their songs and I start feeling better. So together with their fans they have broken so many records and see, they have won over the world now,” she added.

She said that she also prefers TXT and Blackpink after BTS.

“TXT is also known as BTS' little brothers' group as they are from the same company. They just debuted, so yes, my fingers are crossed to see more from them in the future. And Blackpink is also taking the world by storm now; the four girls of this band are super amazing and skilled. I love them."

Talking to Saba, also a HSC examinee of Uttara High School and College, a fan of BTS, said it is very difficult to explain about the band within few words.

“The K-pop industry is huge, there are so many great artists, songs, vibes and all things they do towards their fans are different from other international musical acts. It's really deep. What inspires me the most to listen to their songs are the concepts behind every song, the messages they want to share and the bond between the artists and the fans. It's so touching to see and feel the bonds. Even though I'm thousands of miles away I still feel the warmth of K-pop. The artists are so skilled, they can sing, they can rap, they can dance and they can also make the most powerful songs with positivity, what else do we need? No word can describe how big K-pop is right now,” she said.

Saba said the bond is so special and strong. It is totally different from the bond between Western Artists and their fans.

“I didn't mean any offense towards any artists but this is so true and anyone can feel it now,” she said.

Replying to a query she said "Oh, there are so many reasons why I like to listen to BTS’s song. One of the reasons is that BTS has made their fans listen to the music in a different way, it's not like just enjoying songs, it's more like feeling it. That's why BTS is the best. Also right now K-pop fans in our country mostly listen to groups. There are many groups that I like to listen such as BTS, EXO, GOT7, TXT, Monsta X, Astro, Stray Kids and more.”

Like BTS, TXT and Blackpink, other groups such as EXO, GOT7, iKON, Monsta X, Astro, Bigbang, Stray Kids, Seventeen, NCT, TWICE, ITZY, Red Velvet, SHINee and Wanna One are quite famous in our country. K-pop festivals have been organizing events throughout the year in Dhaka, Chittagong, and other big cities.

BTS became the first group since The Beatles to earn three number one albums in less than a year. Though people are calling BTS, The Beatles Of The 21st Century but one of BTS members Suga already said that while it’s a great honour to be called The Beatles of this century, they would rather be called BTS of the 21st Century. It's to be noted that the members of BTS are also big fans of The Beatles.

BTS is also the first K-pop artist to enter the billboard charts. Their last music video 'Boy With Love' feat. Halsey broke all the previous records of Youtube views and reached more than 70 million views in less than a day. They have also collaborated with artists like Nicki Minaj, Steve Aoki and The Chainsmokers.

They won Top Social Artist Award at Billboard Music Awards for three years in a row. This year they won The Best Duo/ Group Award at the stage of BBMA, which was their first award from main categories. They have also been on the Grammy stage. Just like the last year they have also made the list of the most influential people of 2019 in TIME magazine.

In 2018, they also had a chance to delivere speech as the first Korean act in the UNICEF.

Some of the members have been donating to UNICEF camp personally. They also donate to their country's children’s fund.

BTS has already performed at Rose Bowl and recently BTS has made history by becoming the first South Korean group to headline Wembley Stadium.

It's a stage where world renowned artists have performed. Performing there in front of more than 60,000 fans was a huge deal for the boys of BTS.

All these have made them different from other artists. Since people have been listening to BTS, they also started to listen to other groups. So if you want to be in this huge K-pop fandom or if you want to know about K-pop, start with BTS.
