Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has continued its surveillance operations throughout the country to enhance mass awareness on qualitative standard of products.
The BSTI on Monday on the 3rd Ramadan continued its surveillance operations in the capital, at divisional and district level as well as created mass awareness among the buyers and sellers of various commodities on qualitative standard, said a press release.
The release said like the past, the BSTI conducted awareness campaign at the open markets and super shops so that the consumers could get quality products as well as to avert marketing of substandard and illegal products, reports BSS.
The BSTI team today conducted surveillance operations at Town Hall market in the capital including in its B Baria Store, AllahRakha General Store, Alam Store, Rinky General Store, Iqbal Hossain Variety Store, Meenabazar, Agora, Swapno and Prince Bazar.
The BSTI team also asked these stores and super shops to continue their operations properly so that the consumers get standard products.
Meanwhile in Chattogram, another BSTI team conducted surveillance operations at Halishohor’s Ms Swapno, K Backery, Rahman Store, Rahmania Brothers, Sadman Enterprise, Habib Traders, Al Siraj Departmental Store, Ms Anwara Store where their BSTI standard certificates and other documents and items were found proper. Besides, the BSTI surveillance teams also continued their operations at divisional, district and upazila level.
