Bangladesh Society of Radiology and Imaging (BSRI) has taken various programmes round the year to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
As part of the programme, the leaders of BSRI and its associate organisations like Bangladesh Society of Vascular and Intervention Radiology, Society of Fitomaternal Radiology Bangladesh paid tribute to Bangabandhu by placing floral wreaths at his grave at Tungipara on February 28. They also offered munajat seeking salvation for the departed souls of Banganabdhu and other slain members of his family.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka Dr. Shahriar Nabi Shakil also placed wreath at the grave of Bangabandhu along with some other doctors of different departments.
In a joint statement, President of the society Prof. Enayet Karim, General Secretary Shahriar Nabi Shakil and Vice President Prof Mizanur Rahman said they have arranged year-long program to observe Mujib Borsho.
As part of the program, an international conference on Fitomaternal radiology at the 'Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Hospital", early of the current year, also will hold various programs like scientific seminar, academic conferences, workshop, CME etc.
